Students will learn to develop an approach for solving problems using the art of programming. They will be introduced to the fundamentals of programming constructs like data types, operators, branching and looping structures, user-defined methods and basic data structures.

Digital marketing has become a significantly visual field and with online advertising, social media, and branding all have roots in imagery, there is no denying the importance of knowing the basics of design or image resolution to be successful as a digital marketer.

A content management system (CMS) is a web function that makes content authoring or content delivery easy, so that even a non-technical person can efficiently build a website, integrate web publishing procedures and immediately deploy them, creating a content-rich website. Students will learn the WordPress platform and its various tools as well as the basics of databases. Using a CMS like Wordpress will allow you to redesign websites with little or no overhead.

Students are introduced to essential concepts and learn how digital marketing differs from traditional marketing. Learn about customer relationship management, developing a marketing plan, creating strategies/campaigns, content marketing, work functions and online reputation management.

Students will explore the concepts involved in outbound marketing such as search engine optimization (SEO), a set of techniques used to optimize the positioning of a site, web page or application among the results provided by search engines such as Google, as well as pay-per-click (PPC), retargeting, email marketing and customer experience.

Students will put their knowledge into practice by creating a marketing strategy for social media through exploring different platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google+.

Web analytics is the measurement, collection, analysis, and reporting of Internet data for purposes of understanding and optimizing web usage. This last module of the program will be about tracking performance monitoring using Google Analytics. Students are taught how to create AdWords and manage them according to their performance.

At the end of the program, students complete a real-time, industrially-simulated web development project using digital marketing.

COMMUNITY TESTIMONIAL

Montreal college course content is aligned to the industry requirements and is delivered by industry experts. This coupled with the fact that the training is hands-on, enabled me to succeed in the job interview. I was working a technical support specialist with a large corporation. Even though, I had a stable job, I realized that I needed to enhance my skill set to be more relevant in the job market, secure my future and earn more. To provide a fillip to my stagnating career, I invested in learning BASIS administration. I choose Montreal College after extensive research. In fact, the irony was that there was no other college offering a similar program. Having completed the training, I am and glad that I choose Montreal College. They provided the best learning platform including an instructor with many years of industry experience, learning aids and importantly practice labs that provided practical and hands-on training.
