Cloud Computing Fundamentals

This MCIT certificate on  Cloud Computing fundamentals course provides an overview of cloud computing technology and its applications. Students will gain a fundamental understanding of the cloud computing paradigm, learn about the various cloud service models, and explore the benefits and challenges associated with cloud adoption. In this module, participants explore Cloud Deployment Models, covering public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud setups. The focus is on understanding the characteristics, benefits, and considerations associated with each deployment model, providing insights for strategic cloud infrastructure planning.

This module delves into Cloud Infrastructure and Technologies, providing participants with insights into the underlying components and technologies that power cloud computing. Topics include virtualization, containers, and the architecture of cloud environments, preparing participants for effective utilization and management of cloud resources.

This module covers Cloud Providers and Services, exploring major cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Participants learn about the diverse services offered by each provider, enabling them to make informed decisions when selecting and utilizing cloud services for specific business needs.

In this module, participants explore Cloud Platforms and Tools, covering a range of tools and platforms for cloud management, monitoring, and automation. Topics include orchestration tools, infrastructure-as-code platforms, and management consoles, providing hands-on skills for efficient cloud resource provisioning and maintenance.

This module focuses on Cloud Cost Optimization, equipping participants with skills to manage and optimize cloud expenses. Topics include understanding pricing models, implementing cost-effective resource configurations, and utilizing monitoring tools to analyze and control cloud costs efficiently.

In this module, participants delve into Cloud Solution Development, covering the practices and methodologies for developing applications specifically designed for cloud environments. There are no prerequisites to enroll in this course. It is advisable to have basic knowledge on computer and networking.
