SAP Materials Management (MM) is a component of the SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) that helps businesses support procurement and inventory functions. SAP MM plays a significant role in a manufacturer’s supply chain and integrates with other SAP modules like Production Planning (PP), Sales and Distribution (SD) and others.
The major components in Material Management Certification are Procurement Process and Inventory Management. As part of the Procurement process module, the students will be introduced to topics such as usage of the procurement processes for stock material, consumable materials, and services, the basic functions from purchasing, inventory management, invoice verification, service entry and materials planning. After the completion of the course, the participants will be given an in-depth knowledge of the inventory management process in SAP which will give them a basic understanding of the major business processes, functions and configuration in inventory management along with the knowledge of goods movements and issues faced in the SAP system.
Montreal College offers an SAP Materials Management certificate to help students gain expertise in the corresponding domain of SAP. This aim of this certification is to familiarize the students with the special functions of inventory management and inbound logistics, a concept that lays the foundation for decision making in supply chain management.
