SAP Basis
Overview

The certificate course introduces the students to the core concepts and best practices of SAP Basis. Basis (Business Application Software Integrated solution) is a set of Middleware Programs and Tools from SAP, that provides the underlying base that enables applications (such as FI, CO, and SD, for example) to be seamlessly Interoperable and Portable across Operating Systems and Database products. In simple terms, Basis is the operating system for SAP applications and ABAP. Basis provides services like communication with the operating system, database communication, memory management, runtime collection of application data, web requests, exchanging business data etc. Beyond the interface aspect of SAP ERP, SAP BASIS also includes components such as a data dictionary as well as user and system administration.

Eligibility and Requirements

You don't need any formal training to take this course but it is good to at least have:

  • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and its core functionality.
  • Basic understanding of the SAP ERP

Upon completing this course, you will receive an industry-recognized certificate from MCIT. Once you complete this exam, you will earn your official SAP Basis certification.

Montreal College offers a new session every four months, i.e., in October (fall session), February (winter session) and June (summer session). Students are encouraged to register at least 2 to 16 weeks in advance. Please note that many programs fill up before the registration deadline.
