ABOUT THE ROLE

Cloud Architecture & Platforms

• AWS

• Microsoft Azure

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Multi-cloud & hybrid architecture design

• Cloud cost optimization & governance

DevOps & Automation

• Infrastructure as Code — Terraform, Pulumi

• Kubernetes — deployments, services, Helm

• CI/CD Pipelines — GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI

• Containerization — Docker, container registries

• Monitoring — Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching & Workshops

• Deliver instruction on cloud architecture, AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms for diverse student cohorts

• Lead hands-on labs: Terraform deployments, Kubernetes cluster management, and CI/CD pipeline construction

• Run real-world simulations: students deploy, break, and fix full cloud environments under guidance

Mentorship & Capstone Projects

• Supervise end-to-end capstone projects where students design and deploy a production-grade cloud infrastructure

• Coach students on cloud certification pathways: AWS SAA, Azure AZ-900/104, GCP ACE, CKA/CKAD

• Provide career guidance on portfolio building, GitHub showcasing, and job interview prep

Curriculum Development

• Collaborate with MCIT to keep course content current with industry trends and certification exam changes

• Develop labs, assignments, and assessment rubrics aligned with real employer expectations

REQUIREMENTS

Required

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Architecture

• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, OR GCP (ideally 2+)

• Production experience with Terraform & Kubernetes

• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance experience

• Degree/Diploma in CS, Software Engineering, or related field

Nice to Have

• AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer cert

• Azure AZ-104 / AZ-204 or GCP Professional cert

• CKA or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)

• Prior teaching, mentoring, or public speaking experience

• Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, or Flux

• Knowledge of FinOps & cloud cost management
