Introduction to Programming
OVERVIEW

The course serves as an introduction to programming logic and basic concepts in the programming language. The course provides students with the skills for analyzing a problem and approach to solution logically. Participants learn algorithms and basic syntax of the C programming language and also the comparison of programming constructs between C and Java. Students gain practical experience in executing code written in C and Java at the end of course.

Career starters : For those people who are either entering the job market or are interested in making a shift into programming. This certification program can help you begin your transition into, or start a new career as a developer.
Career switchers : IT professionals in adjacent job functions to technology or development, this certification can give you an idea about the basics of programming or the functions therein.
Academic advancers : Fresh graduates enrolled in Computer Science or fresh out of college in related fields would like to augment their credentials by adding it to their portfolio.
Learning to code is a key life skill that even high schools have added programming in their curriculum. Programming and coding are very related , yet different. With the rapid digitization & smart technology automotive, learning to program is so important at every stage.

ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

This is an entry-level course/program, but it assumes that learners have the following:
General IT knowledge, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet browsers, High school diploma

Upon completing this course, you will receive an industry-recognized certificate from MCIT. Once you complete this exam, you will earn your official Introduction to Programmingcertification. This course serves as a pathway to Java courses. Students can complete a Full Stack Java or Full Stack Web Development course and then work towards Oracle-certified developer/Microsoft front-end certifications.
