-(900 hrs)-

In this module you gain the foundational skills to perform the role of business analyst, and an understanding of the BA role in the design, development, and testing phases of a project. The role of a business analyst in any environment requires strong management, communication and interpersonal skills. In this module you learn various soft skills required by IT professionals like negotiation skills, working with teams, presentation and facilitation skills, as well as concepts of project management related to the IT industry.

You will learn the six knowledge areas (KA) defined in the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) and apply newfound competencies to perform business analysis tasks. You will also become familiar with BABOK v3 and the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) core standard.

Students learn to create an interactive and shareable dashboard in the form of graphs and charts. This module focuses on the Tableau business intelligence tool and how its unique features of data visualization can help in addressing business problems.
