COURSE OUTLINE

SQL Programming with Transact-SQL

This module introduces SQL Server and its different versions, including cloud versions. It also explains how to connect to SQL Server using SQL Server Management Studio, in addition to describing the elements of T-SQL and their role in writing queries.

This modules examines the fundamentals of the SELECT statement, writing queries that combine data from multiple sources in Microsoft SQL Server, implementing sorting and filtering, and usage of aggregate functions.

This module is designed to introduce students to the various data types SQL Server uses to store data. They also learn about DML queries and some of the many built-in functions in SQL Server.

The focus of this module is to explain several types of subquery and describe how to use the set operators UNION, INTERSECT, and EXCEPT to compare rows between two sets and executing stored procedures. This module also covers programming with SQL and error handling.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

T-SQL or Transact SQL is the query language specific to the Microsoft SQL Server product. If you are into operations like retrieving the data from a single row, inserting new rows, and retrieving multiple rows, this could help.
The SQL query is in high-level language. A translator decrypts the language into ordinary script. Seasonal programmers would find this certification of value.

ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

You don't need any formal training to take this course but it is good to at least have:
Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and its core functionality. Working knowledge of relational databases.

Upon completing this course, you will receive an industry-recognized certificate from MCIT.
